Idol Agenda

I am so upset right now.

Every once in a while, I suspect a serious amount of hidden agenda on American Idol. Tonight's one of those nights. Arguably the best performance of the night (definitely top 2, next to Casey James) was Andrew Garcia.

Did you see it? Good night. It was so good. He reminds me of Israel Houghton a ton, but in a good way.

Anyway, they basically said it wasn't good enough, and he wasn't the "fun," "quirky" personality they saw before. (He sang Paula's "Straight Up" during Hollywood Week.) But they told Lee Dewyze that they loved his tone (which killed me), and barely mentioned his serious pitch issues?

Seriously, what's their agenda? Was anyone else bothered by this, or has anybody noticed this before?

This year's talent is pretty disappointing overall. I'm not impressed with many performances. Andrew (aka "little israel") is by far my favorite and has the best vocals in the competition. No worries, he'll make it to the top. I see what you mean about the negativity of the judges. A few of the guys tonight should've gotten more credit than was given. But, I'm wondering if they're just a little frustrated with the "talent" the rest of the contestants are offering. What do you think their agenda is?

I think their agenda is pushing some people through, but not others. And I'm not sure why yet. I can't find a thread, so it's really just a conspiracy theory, with no theory, lol.

Can I coin a conspiracy hunch?

I think they do it just to create drama. There's nothing pat about it.

Okay, so I'm starting to agree with your hunch. Crazy.

VJ - Maybe. But the people they do it to... it's all just willy nilly.

Linz - Yea. It's a good hunch.
